Transmission oil

Post by rparker7 »

I have done a search and can't see to find any information regarding how much transmission oil I need. I have drained the transmission completely. The only thing I can find in the Muir book is to make sure I don't put too much in and that I should only fill it up to the bottom of the fill hole. That I can understand. However, when I go out to buy the oil, approximately how much will I need to properly fill a drained transimmsion. 1 qt?, 2 qt?, 3 qt? More?

Thanks

Pupjoint, thanks for the confirmation. I should be all set. 3 qts should cover it with some left over.
