Re: Vacuum Advance
This reply is long overdue! For the past 5 years at least I have been running a 009 mechanical advance distributor and stock 30 PICT carb. Up until a month ago my car was running well until it wasn’t. I eventually replaced the 009 with the stock distributor mentioned earlier in this thread. I static...

Re: Door Release Mechanism
Has anyone experienced a similar problem with their doors. Maybe I’m wrong but figure others have to move their door lever back in position after opening the door because it won’t spring back. I’m also adding an arm rest on the driver side. This may have been either a factory or dealer option becaus...

Re: My VW legacy.... Please tell me yours!
Hello. Glad to be among those trying to keep the Air cooled classics alive. I grew up in a VW family. My dad worked for Lasher Porsche in Sacramento. Then broke off and started the Original Wolfsburg West in Sacramento. I grew up being delivered to school in a 61 double cab. My dad was friends with...

For what it's worth I've had a great experience with ordering parts from Wolfsburg West. Very professional, good quality, timely delivery. I'm also lucky enough to have a local parts outlet here in the Cleveland area for getting more run of the mill stuff. I also have fun checking out swap meets dur...
