Very Nice Jimbo! I have a working dome light as well, but I keep it switched off as I don't trust myself when it comes to getting the door shut tight.

I have no issues with the heat in my '66. Even Texas can get quite cold in the winter. It usually takes about two to three miles before I can feel the heat coming out of the center defrost port. It's always a nice toasty ride after that. Back when I had my '72 super beetle, I found the rear heaters ...

Gosh, I may have that buried somewhere in my shop. I will need to look. I believe it was like the one pictured but black. I'll let you know once I get things straightened away out there - It's a mess!

Beautiful! I was in Hot Springs just last month before the weather turned cold. We stayed at the KOA about 2 miles or so from town. Great Place!

Hopefully, someone will have an answer to your question. I've never done engine work on any of my beetles other than the valve adjustments, carb rebuilds, etc..
