They will not give you your right motor vin or case # because people where restamping other wrong cases to make it look like they had the right # in there bug.

Sound like you have a cool euro bug. What color is it? Mine doesn't have
E-flashers because it was made in August of 65 early 66 model. So it has some 65 thing on it. Like the door handles and I have a 65 horn bar not the half moon for a 66.

The M-codes are found in your vin#. And you find them out on a birth certificate. M-codes are thing that are put on the bugs from the factory. Things that the dealer put on a bugs at there shop like radio's antenna's roof rack things like that won't be listed on birth certificate and won't have a m-...

There where m-codes for bugs. My 66 euro has three of them. M 079 upholstery leatherette instead of material. M 189 Asymmetric lights. M 351 Special equipment for foreign markets. For the wipers you can use a 1980-1984 Volvo 240, 245 & 260 wagon's REAR wiper motor is SWF and absolutely identical. Just pull out the armature out and put in your vw one.

66 Euro

Hi I live in Pingree Idaho. I have a one owner L 456 Ruby Red 66 Euro bug that the first owner got in Darmstadt Germany when he was working over there in 66. I got it out out a field outside Blackfoot Idaho where it sat for the last 34 years. It has some thing different then the US bug. Door handles...
