carb question

Post by bmarx »

According to the site, the 66 had the 30 pict-1 carb,..mine has a 28 pict. Did someone change it, or was it a rollover item before the change?

1300 should have had the 28 stock. 30 was the replacement carb.

Thanks. I'm reading all I can find, but some stuff is confusing.

The '66 I just bought has the 30 PICT 1 and the car appears to be dead original, but I've seen the 28 PICT on the '66 engine as well. The 30 PICT may have been a mid-year replacement. A copy of "Progressive Refinements" could probably answer the question.

What BB said. :) I seem to recall reading that same thing somewhere else too now that you mention it.
