Hey!
OK so I haven't posted in awhile but recently my starter went bad. I'm 98% sure it's the solenoid but am not sure whether it's worth it to just replace the whole 6v starter (i have a 12v engine, which could've been part of the reason why it went bad), ORRRR just replace the solenoid?
Really appreciate your responses guys!!
Thanks!

Hi. See the replies to the posting Electrical Woes from Larspryce. Blue Baron's idea is a good one. I tried this on my car, but the stater motor was too far shot to save. Being 6v in the 12 v system will shorten the starter life, but my understanding is that to upgrade to 12 v the fly wheel also needs to be replaced - as well as other parts no doubt.
Hope this helps. Richard
