headlight buckets

Post by BERHAN »

I have seen two style of buckets on '66 beetles. I have seen sets with the park light bulb close to the headlight, and I have seen sets where the park light bulb is close to the bubble glass. Which set is correct?

On a '66, the correct style are the buckets with the parking light bulb close to the headlight, and the adjusting screws at 2 and 7 o'clock.

What is the correct aluminum color paint to use if you want to touch up the buckets?

It's not aluminum, it's actually a matte gray.

Is there a special matte gray color specified?
