tach question

again i have a quick question. i want to install a tachometer in my car and i am not sure how it will hook up, yeah yeah call me a noob, lol. i am just wondering what to look for, like what type and what wires are gonna be required, that sort of thing. i have seen the tach i want, but i really dont know where to hook it up to. any help would be Highly appreciated!

i am having so much fun with my car, learning as i go.

A tach is an easy install. It should come with instructions. If your car is still 6 volts it may be hard to find one that will work. If it is 12 volts just follow the instructions and you should have no trouble.

ok, thank you.
do you know if most of them come with all required wires? and yes it was converted to 12v before i got it.
i just want to make sure i get it right the first time.

Most of them do come with everything you will need for the install.Good Luck!

You will need to run one wire from the distributor side of the coil, otherwise all connections can be made under the dash.
