Buddy, my '66 Ruby Red bug
Hi, after posting in the new members section I thought I'd introduce my car.
A Ruby Red '66 and my pride and joy. His name is Buddy and he is my everyday car 365 days a year.

Hi!spokaneDave wrote:Very nice ride! How long have you had Buddy?
I've had Buddy 9 months. He's my first VW and I wish I'd got one sooner! I had a 2CV previously, which I had restored.
Doing lots of cosmetic work to him at the moment, currently deciding whether to put Albert mirrors on him, as my current one just broke. Decisions, desicions!

Tell us more!
How did you come to become acquainted with Buddy? I'm hoping my little 66 can look as good as your Bug someday. Looking good!!
Thanks!
Bought him off a guy who was worried he was going to get tatty as he didn't have enough time to spend on him. Had a bit of a drive to get him, he was advertised on the web
Had to spend some time and money to get him looking nice again, haven't finished as I am currently trying to find a pair of original front seats, but it's all fun.
