Garaging my 66

Due to the family growth I have to put my beetle away for a few years (I intend to give it to one of the kids as a 16th birthday present).

What processes would people recommend I go through in order to keep it in decent nick for when I get her back out of the garage?

lots and lots of mouse killer and traps in the vents and where ever they can get in, and tons of the little silica de-moisturizer packs
