Height

Can someone tell me the height of a stock 66 convertible - from the ground to the top of the top? I thought I had read it to be around 60 inches.

It does not have to be right down to the exact quarter inch. I am building a loft in my garage and want to make sure if I ever purchase a beetle again, I'll be able to drive it underneath.

I have been to the Samba and downloaded a bundle of specifications - 59.1" seems to be the number, but is that the same for a convertible?

Make it comfortable for you, make it 1 inch above head level, this way you can get in and out without bending over, anyways, its about shoulder height
