Headlight seals

I just got headlight seal for the old 66 Barn Bug, not just sure where the heck it goes, any ideas?

If it's the seal I'm thinking of it should fit between the bulb and the chrome ring the bulb fits into. Wolfsburg west has some nice exploded views you can look at:

Thank you for the reply, i still cant get that ring on with seal on bulb, i dont know if i have wrong ring size or wrong bulb. there were no seals in there when i took it apart. have any ideas
