Hi folks,
Does your '66 have narrow brake shoes on the rear? Mine does. The front has wider ones, and the first set I got for the rear- supposedly for a '66- are wide also; but they wouldn't go on. I had to order shoes for a older bug to get them to go on. What is going on?

I just got a Bentley manual to complement Muir's work. According to Bentley, the front shoes are 40mm wide, and the rear are 30mm wide. The '67s had the same size front & rear. But unless you are one of the fortunate ones to have a compleatly original bug, it can sometimes be hard to tell just what has been swapped out from a different year.
