Speedo/fuel gauge lighting Issue

Post by kokenfarm »

My 1966 Speedometer has two dash lights one on each side. As a result the previous owner bypassed the fuel gauge light and wired the two speedo lights. Does anyone know of a wiring diagram where there are two dash lights wired with the fuel gauge light. Can I just put a twin spade on the closest speedo dash light to the fuel gauge and power the fuel gauge light from there, without overpowering that circuit ? The car has been converted to 12 Volts.

Hi kokenfarm, check out the wiring diagram on the main site. The fuel gauge light does go over to the Speedo light. There is only one light for the Speedo. My guess is that he turned the high beam bulb into another light. Check out the diagram:

Hope this helps. John
