Original carpet 1966 VW Beetle

Hey everyone, doing a complete restoration for my 1966 VW Beetle 1300. Has been resprayed Pearl White (factory color). I am looking to buy new carpet that is the same color that came from factory. Does anyone know what color it is? And if so where is the best place to purchase it. I live in Victoria, Australia. Any information is helpful. Cheers

It depends on what kind of original door panels you had when you acquired the bug and if you had vinyl or cloth seats from the factory...if you don't care about that... because the original door panels were gone anyway and you are replacing everything from scratch and you just want to be period correct for a Pearl White...then you would use red carpet (pigalle) in combination with red door panels...keep in mind that in 1966 there was no carpet under the seats, only under the steering column, luggage area and on the sides..
