Pre-winter-storage oil change?

Post by joeross »

I'm about to put my 66 to bed for the winter (indoor unheated space). Everything I read tells me to change the oil first, but I've only put 800-900 miles on the car since the oil was changed in the spring. is it OK to skip the oil change this time?

I would change it due to the age of the oil and the fact that combustion by-product impurities that now exist in the oil which are harmful to the engine. Just my opinion.
