Wiper motor/ switch connection

Hi.
I have a mix up and can't figure my way back. I undid my wiper connection (motor and switck).
The switch has pins 31, 31b, 54, 54d. The motor has pins 53, 31 and 53a. What goes where? When I connect as I believe it was, the motor doesn't function... kindly assist.
