piston bore to engine capacity (relation)

Post by KKV270 »

Hi.
A question. if a 2 liter has piston bore of 94 mm, if all other factors are held constant except piston bore reduced to 90 mm, do you think the math to calculate new engine capacity will equate to (90x2000)/94 ? Would that be correct?
Thanks.

Hehe- I've just seen the formula...and it now makes sense (some stuff I read a while back but didn't add it all up- now I do).
0.785 x bore squared x stroke x number of cylinders.
