Oil cooler seals for doghouse cooler

Post by mnkytail »

I'm replacing the seals on my oil cooler, the ones from the adapter to the case began to leak. I have late model case and oil cooler, late model orange seals. I'm wondering if the seals have a specific side that needs to go into the case and a side that must go into the adapter? Same questions with the adapter to the cooler seals.

I have never been able to tell if there is a "side" for the bottom or top. I'll be interested to know if there is an "UP".

So, I posted this over on TheSamba as well and they all said there was no up or down - just put them in. Had a friend mention to me that there was a right way to put them in, but I think he was thinking of the seal that goes from 8mm to 10mm. Those do have a right and wrong way.
