Horn wiring - help!

Post by tofufi »

Hi folks,

When I got my '66, the horn was wired on a toggle switch on the dash, and worked fine.

Now I'm nearing the end of my restoration, I want to get the horn on the steering wheel where it should be.

I've got a wiring loom and a wiring diagram, but because I never had a working horn, I don't actually know quite what the wires are connected to.

There's the earth wire which runs up the column and goes to the steering box - that's fine.
The horn has two wires going to/from it - one is black, and goes to the fusebox.
But where does the other connector (the brown one) from the horn go?

From looking online there seems to be a bearing which this connects to, but I've no idea where on the column this is fitted. Anyone got any photos of this? :)
