Oil Pressure Switch Threads

Post by KKV270 »

Hi.
What would a good fix be on the blocks oil pressure switch threads that are pulled? The switch only holds to a certain point then a sudden turn.
Thanks[/list]

If my memory serves me correctly, that is a tapered tread in the case. Never tighten beyond snug.

Having said that, maybe you got lucky and stripped the threads on the oil pressure sensor and not the case.

If you did strip the threads in the case, maybe there is enough thread left to use some teflon tape to add some extra material. (teflon tape is commonly used in plumbling)

Thank her driver....

Your teflon tape solution has worked for me.... Driven for about 60Km and no trace of oil.
Thank you.
