I've been a VW cult member since I was a kid. My father got me started when he drove home a 23 window delux bus.. let us ride around in it and then didn't buy the dang thing!
He did buy a 1971 Bus brand new in 71 on Guam.. man the memories,,,,
Anyway, I have owned a few bugs and worked on a lot more of them. I have been in a deep funk searching for something to get out of it, I decided that I needed to go find a bug that needed me as much as I needed it..
I found a 1966 bug that some old dude here outside of town had sitting in a field under a tree..
She is complete, it relatively good shape, but she really needs some love and tinkering to bring her back to running happily down the road. I am still in the evaluation stage on her, but this is a work in saving my sanity and want to do things the right way.
