First I must say how amazed I am to have found a site dedicated to 66 Bugs! This will be my "Go to" site for info from now on!
I am the proud owner of a 66 I aquired from the estate of it's orignal owner in 1992. It currently has only 44400 miles on her. It had been my plan to do a full restoration as a "retirement project". I started out saying that I would have it done "by the time I turned 50"...then "by the time I turn 60"...well, I am now only three years away from 70. So it's now or never! The project starts tomorrow!
