My names matt and stupidly been restoring a late 1965 vw beetle.

Hi Matt! Actually from what I can see in the pictures she looks pretty solid. Some of the folks in the forum are experienced in restorations so they should be able to answer questions for you. Best of Luck with the restoration.

i think thats my fault, ive put it back wrong any ideas how to get it back to stock height?

I'm purely guessing that you may have gone down one spline on the springplate.

Looks like one outer, though tough to tell with the fenders off. They're pretty easy to re-index. You should get yourself an angle finder at your local hardware store, that's really the only way to set the spring plates correctly.
