Just became a member, and was thinking about getting a MR2, but saw this on craigslist, and thought, hey what about a VW. Is this a good deal? Guy said the tires are going to need to be replaced, and it smokes a little. $2000? Good deal or not? What should I look for or be on the look out for?

You have to admire him for doing his research...
I would take a 66 Vw rust pail over an MR2 all day long. But that is said with much prejudice!
