Cracks in the paint

Was driving my 66 beetle yesterday with my family and afterwards, when I got home I noticed that there were cracks in the paint where the hood and window posts meet. I'm a little worried that there may be something going terribly wrong. Does anyone know what could cause this?

Could be a number of things, from paint aging/drying out to rust to metal fatigue. could you take a photograph of the area and post it up? Might be able to offer some better input from that.
