helo lets list our beetles birthday see what we come up with mine was built on dec 20 1965 pearl white red interior russ

I have no beetle birth certificate, but on the tunnel of my 66 is the date sept. 13 1965. Original color is what I think is bajama blue with black interior.

I've never heard of the tunnel being date coded. Many parts are, such as the speedometer, but it's the date the part was made, not when the car was built.
