Hello from San Diego, CA

Post by jabbiate »

My name is John and I recently had my 66 restored. I owned it for a few years but life took over and I did not have the time to fix it. I reluctantly sold it to a guy that said he was going to fix it up. I jokingly said that I would buy it back if he did a nice job. Well... a few weeks ago I went to look at it and decided that I needed it back. Attached are a few pictures of what it looked like before and where it is today. I look forward to enjoying this one and doing my own project once the kids are older and out of the house.

Wow, what a nice L87 stocker. It doesn't look like it needs much done.

Thanks. I hope to enjoy it for many years. My brother and I used to fix up bugs in high school and built a 54 ragtop from scratch. It was fun when we had all kinds of time. I hope to get a project car in a few years so my kids can learn from the process as well. Thanks for the positive feedback

I just happened to see an on-line ad for this car. Nice acquisition. Beautiful car! Same color as a 65 sunroof Bug I had back in the early 70s.

Yes, the guy that did the resto chose to go with red accents; running boards, fender beading, interior. I was not all that excited but it does look really sharp in person. Thanks
