Best car cover

Post by Dons1966vw »

I just bought a 1966 bug and need to buy a cover. My bug will be stored on the side of my home. Not sure which kind to buy. I live in south fl.
Thanks!

I also live in Florida, and no car cover is going to provide the same kind of protection as getting the car indoors, especially against the humidity here. Just a simple enclosed shelter on a concrete pad makes a huge difference.

Car Cover

Blue Baron is right, Florida requires more protection for your VW.
If you have no garage for it, consider a portable garage, available at Sam's Club for about $200. Then get a good car cover.
Problem is in Hurrican Season, the portable Garages can fly away, so makew sure you tie it doen and take it down in inclement weather.
P. S. The portable garage makes a good spray booth too when you get around to painting your VW.

I suggest shopping with Carolina Car Ports. I had one of their basic garages built and I'm happy with the results.
