Hello from Kennewick,WA

I got bitten by the bug gods, back in 1987. I was stationed in Yokosuka Japan.
I was looking for a car to to drive while I was there. I was told about a 1969 bug for sale by the first owner, he was a teacher. He bought the car in Germany, and shipped it to Japan. My new bride said the car was to old and called it Ojiisan (old man). But I think that she loved that little car as much as I did. I was not able to bring my vdub with me.
Now almost 30 years later, I brought my second vdub, a 1966, that I bought in Ca last May. I wasn't looking for a project car , but due to limited funds,thats what I ended up getting. But shes not in to bad of shape. Mostly cosmetics, but than again for an old lady she looks pretty good.
Her name is Rocinate.
