1966 Bug

Post by canisdog »

Hi, new here and thought I would poke around. Think of purchasing a 1966 with 55,000 mile, rust free, looks really decent. new tires, battery, runs great. I don't want to get over invested in it so I thought I would look around for values.

Any input?

Is this your first time owning or I mean about to own a bug?I think the value is more on how much knowledge & hands on work your going to devote on the bug.The car being OLD there will be a lot of knik knacks that your going to deal with along the way that maybe you want to do yourself & not rely on a mechanic & spend $$$ paying all the time.that's the advice I tell everyone who comes up to me check out my bug & tell me they want to buy one & what to expect afterwards!good luck & post us pics of it!

I'm quite familiar with cars and restorations. I was just wondering what the used value is. Don't want to fork out too much for it.

If it has only 55,000 miles, it's well worth pursuing.
