well ...first of all .. i want to fix my dashboard area because the previous owner used a mix of swithces and knobs form various years!! looking at this site http://www.thesamba.com/vw/ i found some owner's manuals and for the year 1966 there are 3...what are the differences between them and how to tell which is the correct for me?? and where can i find an photo showing the original dashboard area with the knobs and their coreect position etc???

Looks pretty cool! Although if that is in fact a '66, it's had some pretty significant changes made (fenders, bumpers & brackets, taillights, headlights, rear apron & decklid, etc.) but hey, it's a BUG! They're cooool!

It actually looks nice as-is. But I'll be watching for the transformation. Should be interesting. Got any pics of the interior? Dash?
