Hello. New member showing off my first car. Bought it for a buck in '85 or so. I have the original owners manual, distributor and dealers book, and service book with plastic customer identification card showing it was bought at Hamac Corp. in Dothan Ala., with the calling card of the service manager attached on opposite page. Also bought and still have a red '66 convertable (totally blown apart and in pieces) around the same time. A 10 year old boy in my town owns a early 70s beetle and he has inspired me to bring mine out of hibernation. It had not been ran since 1989. It took a bit, but she is running pretty good. Now for all the work to begin. Cool website. Thanks.
