Hi all, newbie from South-Africa.
Got myself a 1966 couple of days ago and must say she is a beauty.
This is my first beetle and hope to have her for a long time.
She is Bahama Blue in colour and was assembled in Uitenhage, South-Africa.
Metal bage with details behind spare wheel:
South African Motor Assemblers and Distributors Ltd , Uitenhage, Cape Town
VIN - 11602****.
Model - 114
Paint Code - C
VPO No. - 12 7 41
Also a German badge with - Fahrgest 11602**** stamped on it.
The engine seems to be a 1500 according to Internet search but looks more like a 1300 but I'm not sure.
Engine number - H 0158***.
I am trying to get more info on the engine but to no avail so far.
