The '66 we just purchased had sat in the ladies yard for more than ten years. She claimed to have driven it around her yard every now and then to keep it running. The car tells me otherwise. It's really not in toooo bad of shape, but mechanically wouldn't have made it around the yard much. The front brakes were locked up due to weak rubber brake lines. The fuel lines were cracked and leaking fuel.
Those issues have been fixed, as well as some other safety items. The car is drivable now and has been cleaned up a good bit. Leaves, pine needles, mold and mildew have been cleared off and out. Such fun to drive.
In the near future we will be replacing the floors and most likely both heater channels. In the long term, we plan to restore this great ol' '66 to it's previous glory.
