Hi everyone,
I just got an unmolested '66 T-1 my friend had stored for years on his property in Corning Ca. Although it is not running, it is in great shape with no rust and needing a drivers side window and the usual work a 43 year old
Bug needs that sat for years.
This is like coming home for me since years back I ran a large Volkswagen repair/engine rebuilding facility in Pleasant Hill Ca. until the customers drove me nuts and the owner and I decided to part company.
I'm really excited about this project and have missed Volkswagens since '78
when I went back to my trade of a job shop machinist,welder/fabricator. The
bug will be kept stock and will be built as a regular, but nice driver since they are so much fun as they were designed.
I'll post a few photos when I retrieve it from Corning.
