Hello everyone, my name is benny and im am 16. cool forum always wanted to have a reason to sign up and now i have one!

on new years eve I brought my First car, and my first beetle!

Its a 1966 original paint and interior, was dry stored for 12 years and we believe hadn't been running for that long too.

After a little bit of work on the breaks and a little bit adjusting here and there, dad got it running and yesterday, it went in for its MOT for the first time in a while and passed with flying colours!!

now to explain my title, My bug is a 1966 RHD , and my dad has a 1966 RHD split

here is my bug

I also apeared on the front of our local paper for a classic car show artical.

so you now can get a look at me

the interior for my bug is the same as it rolled out the factory,


originally i wanted to paint it blue, but since ive had the bug
I really really like the stock red interior and now the bug is staying red and white.

Very sweet splitty! Does your dad let you drive it much? Mine is the same color in and out but it has seen its days. The interior has been gutted. sold metal has been cut (I dont know why???), carpet gone and the original seats painted black. You often have to wonder why people do the things the do.

and im changing the hubs to the rounder smooth ones,
