New to bugs

Post by Paul Zum »

Hi guys I just bought my first bug today for my wife. She had 2 when she was a kid and she always talks about them so I thought I would buy her one. I am going to restore it for her. I will have questions (some dumb Im sure) I have never even had a ride in a bug before today. So I know 0 about the cars. Thanks in advance,
Paul

Hi, Paul

Welcome. This is a good place to find answers. Lots of folks here with a wide knowledge base. Get yourself a copy of John Muir's book 'How to keep your Volkswagen alive' . It's a life-saver. After skimming through it, you'll know about VWs, and it covers most common tasks step-by-step.

Even with that and a Chilton's manual, sometimes there's nothing like asking folks who've been there before. And-of course-that's what this forum is for. :P
