First off I want to say thanks to all of you that have already helped me since I got this project 6 months ago. This beetle is a real beater, but it is fun to drive. The previous owner claims the engine is new; it seems to be in relatively good shape. It has no stampings to identify it. Some time I will post some pictures to try to narrow it down.
I have PORed the floor pan, completely redone the brakes, and replaced the entire fuel line, as well as several other less involved repairs. So now I am driving it around almost as a daily driver and you can expect many more questions from me! Thanks again!
