color choices

my 66 is Java Green. I see that it had Ballaire Beige interior panels and seats (mine is gutted).

Did they also come in grey??

if not, what color carpet came with the beige interior???

Java green had platinum and mosaic platinum choices for interior. I'd presume the beige interior had a beige or oatmeal colored carpet, but that's my guess only.

John, any idea what the carpet color would be with the baleric beige vinyl seats and panels??

You know - I couldn't find anything on carpet colors but it wouldn't surprise me if black was the standard carpet color. The big mats that they put in the cars seemed to be black and they take up about 90% of the floor space up front. Maybe someone else will have an answer to this one...but in the meantime I'll check in a few new books that I have.

Out of curiosity, does a birth certificate have carpet color?

unfortunately no - would have been nice to have that.

Bill: I looked in the books and couldn't get any useful infomation about carpet colors - sorry! You may want to call Wolfsburg West and see if they can give you any information.

Thanks for all the responses. I think I am going to go with grey vinyl. pretty close to the platinum beige. Don't like the baleric (sp?) beige. Grey would look good with the beige gray knobs and the Java green color.

will go with either charcoal or black carpeting.
