My 66 came with I believe 67 doors. It has the pull lever inside door handle vs. the chrome old style one. I wanted to change the door lock remotes to be proper for the year. I got some on Samba but they won't open the door. I note the door lock mechanizms for 66 vs. 67 look about the same but have a different letter at the end of the part. I do have them on the correct side of the vehicle.
Can the 67 door lock mechanizms be used with 66 era door lock remotes?? can they be modified??
