Fuel pump hesitation

Post by KKV270 »

Hi.
Seems my fuel pump has hesitations - it seems to pump very small amounts and seems like more a problem especially when the engine has been off for a while. Interesting thing, it is as though the problem cures itself once I drive...but on stopping, it might need for me to pull some fuel into the carb to compensate for the delayed fuel delivery..yet again, sad to say, it is a similar experience with all the Brazilian brand pumps I have with me. Is this a common experience? Is it time to replace? Any further suggestions I may consider regarding this issue?
Thanks

Failing or bad diaphragm in the pump.
