Does the exterior door handle on the passenger side of your car have a key slot so that your car can be locked/unlocked from the outside? `66 Beetles for the European market did not have a key slot on the passenger side. The cars were locked by pushing the interior door handle to the forward position.

I don't have a key slot, I always have to lock the car from the inside pushing the handle forward...I thought every '66 owner would have to go through the same ritual...LOL...thanks for making me aware of the difference!

I finally tackled the wheels restoration this week, a time consuming process I would probably avoid in the future. I didn't know what i was getting into and in retrospective I wished I sent the rims to powder-coating.
I sandblasted, primed and painted each rim...these are wheels I acquired some time ago with moderate rust. I have the hubcaps to put on next...

I finally received the certificate, confirming the original destination as Goettingen...originally purchased in Germany, the owner shipped it later on to Palo Alto, California.
