Heating ducts under the rear seat

Post by mnkytail »

Does anyone have a good pic of what the heating ducts under the rear seat should look like. Trying to confirm I have everything and it's all hooked up right. It would be great to see it done right. I added pics of what is in mine right now. Thanks!

Heating ducts did not come with a blower motor. Must have been added by a previous owner. The engine cooling fan should be all you need to get heat to the interior.

Thanks for tip on the blower fan. Could not figure out what that was. Feel kinds silly now. So the driver side should look just like the passenger side right?

Yes, pretty much a mirror image of the right side. Although it looks like you are missing some insulation that goes around the duct.

I think the PO installed the blower to make the defroster more effective. When you flip it on that's where it blows 90% of the air. I'm having trouble finding parts to restore it. Everything I can find is 68 and up. Any idea where or what kind of insulation goes around the duct work?

I found this when I searched the words "parting out" on TheSamba.

Not a recommendation - I do not know the seller.
