Engine Rebuild - Best Assembly Lube

Post by mnkytail »

I was given a discarded 1600 DP motor that was lying around a garage. Case, crank and cam on it looks good now that I've torn it down and inspected. Getting ready to reassemble. This is my first time and was wondering what kind of assembly lube I should use. This is really just a fun project to learn with and the engine may sit awhile before installed into the car. Thoughts?

Mnky, I've always used the white grease you get in the tube from NAPA,, Coat everything with that & the same Oil you're going to run in it & I think you,ll be fine...
