Any thoughts on using new lifters with old cam? The cam checks out to specs but I thought maybe getting new lifters. Any dangers or things I need to be worried about? Everything is stock.

personally, I prefer working with the original parts that are within specifications as they have proved themselves through the engines life...
My decision, however, is partly dictated a lot by the scarcity of parts in my area.
I believe it should be ok if all items are stock. I'd be all ears as well on the response of others on the same.

Good luck! Make sure you run a break in for the new lifters.

I would use a zinc additive for the break in as well.
