Fuel Pressure?

Post by ratfink »

Hello, can one of you VW Gear Heads, tell me what the Fuel Pressure should be ( at Idle ) for a 1300 engine with a Solex 30 pict-1 carb.

This is Not a Serious Issue! I'm just keeping the Ole Boy in Tune!

I have done some Research, can only come up with...1.5 to 3.0 @ 3200 rpms...and I still don't think that's Correct?

Thanks, and Have a Fabulous Day!! :D

The 1.5 to 3.0 is the flow rate in the RPM range from idle to around 3500 which is cruise RPM. So if that you are in that range when testing from idle and when revving up the engine you should be fine.

Fuel Pressure?

Well, Thanks for the Reply...darzoom

Looks like its still doing what it should be doing...Thanks!...

I was just concerned when I got a Reading around... 0.5 to 0.8 @ Idle, then @ about 3000 rpms... it jumps to 2.5 to 3.0 and higher as the rpms go's up!

Thought maybe I was going to be installing a Electric Pump?...NOPE!!

Gunna just leave it alone...If its Not Broke-Don't Fix It!!...

if it broke I would go back with mechanical as they are pretty reliable.
