New father & son complete restore

Post by Rototillerguy »

My son just turned 15, another year and a half or two years before he can drive, so why not get started restoring a car together so that maybe he will gain an appreciation for his car and show him what goes into taking care of his car.

We found a running and driving 1966 sedan in Long Beach for $1,400.00

Drove it home, and the brakes went out while driving it home on the Freeway, with my son in the car with me. So guess what the first thing is going to be fixed ?

Be more careful than I was of unscrupulous sellers. Not only were the brakes a huge safety issue, but also the stated DMV fees were about $250.00 more than stated. Don't get caught up in the thrill of the new project.
