Hey y'all,
From Valley Alabama. About 25 miles northeast of Auburn, as the opossum trots. Started restoring my 66 beetle last month. Bought it for 600 bucks ten years ago. Time to stop drivin and start fixing it up. Needs lots of work but I have made a good start.
I grew up around VWs starting in the mid seventies, teenage years. Fond memories of innovative repairs and adventures abound.
Thanks for a great forum for my favorite year.

Howdy and welcome from Oklahoma. I'm also fairly new here. I bought my 1966 Beetle Sedan about a month ago. I've been really enjoying drive it around town. Mine is in fairly good condition and needs only a few thing done to make it even nicer. It's a California car and I bought it from the original owner.

Got any pictures of your Bug?

Not yet, sorry. Will try to get some soon. It was originally white, now well patinaed, if that's a word.
