John is 100% correct your carb needs to be rebuilt.....it is the pump side of the carb that is bad... no big deal . Also when was the last time the valves where adjusted??? and if so what gap was used

miss hilda hi when ever you have to rebuild a motor it should be very exciting....The only advise that I can give you is to find the right builder...what state do live in...your motor is an f stamped block which is correct for your year...can you take a look to make sure...the serial number is locat...

a1001 I tell you this is really a tough one...if your battery is charged and you are not getting a response when turning the key...you need to track things down...system can not be good one day and bad the next...I would double check the key ignition circuit. you have the correct pads...to get the new pads on to the metal flat plate is no easy task....can you email me a picture of your pedal...

bill if you are still having a problem try this after cleaning and re applying grease to all the plates.line up the half moon holes,then take a c clamp and clamp the plates together on the one end and spot weld the plate edges...dont go crazy just a little zap to hold..once thru you can grind the we...

can't seem to get the torsion springs installed. even in sections, cannot get all of them in. should I "tape" the end I am inserting to try and keep the leaves together? BILL YOU CAN ONLY USE GREASE -remove all the grub screws -clean torsion bars -coat bars with clean multi purpose grease...
